A résumé (/ˈrɛzjʊmeɪ/, REZ-u-may or /rɛzjʊˈmeɪ/; French: [ʁezyme]), also spelled resumé or, colloquially, resume,[1] is a document used by persons to present their backgrounds and skills. Résumés can be used for a variety of reasons, but most often they are used to secure new employment.[2] A typical résumé contains a summary of relevant job experience and education. The résumé is usually one of the first items, along with a cover letter and sometimes an application for employment, which a potential employer sees regarding the job seeker and is typically used to screen applicants, often followed by an interview. The résumé is comparable to a curriculum vitae (CV) in many countries, although in English Canada, the United States and Australia a résumé is substantially shorter than a CV.[3]

How to format computer | C: drive and re-install Windows XP

How to format C: drive and re-install Windows XP

| Mediafire Download Link|

Has your PC slowed down? Does it not respond to you quickly? Does it not perform as good as it did when it was just a newly assembled PC? There are many reasons for these like viruses, excess useless files on your desktop, possibly many of your system files would have been corrupted by now, the most important drive of your PC that is the drive where windows operating system files are installed gets filled with useless temp files or by software and applications you never use.
Now, if you are reading this, then most probably you want either a new PC, or a freshly installed windows XP on your PC. By re-installing Windows XP, you can solve many of the problem you faced like slowing down or frequent virus attacks.
Windows XP wallpaper-small
You can just format the windows installation drive, generally it is the c: drive and re-install it and you'll not lose any data, you just need to be careful while formatting or you'll end up with a hard disk with completely no data and you won't want that! But still re-installing windows XP without losing any of your data is a task which can be easily performed by anyone. Just read this page and you'll get all the information you need to do it yourself. I recommend you to first read this whole page, then print this page so that you can keep this with you while re-installation process.

  • Requirements: Read this very carefully and check that you have everything you need before continuing. If you lack anything, go and get it first.
1. Windows XP installation CD
2. Valid Product Key
3. Driver's CD which contains all the driver files of your hardware.
3. MS Office installation setup with product key - It is not compulsory to have this but I am sure you'll want to install MS Office once you get yourself a fresh new installation of XP.
4. Antivirus software setup - Not compulsory but MS Office and an antivirus are a must that you'll surely want to install to your PC.
You are going to lose any installed application/software from your PC. So make sure you have the setup of anything you wish to re-install. If you don't have the driver files, then also you can continue re-installation and later on manually install your driver files from the net.

  • Getting prepared:

So you know you are going to format your c: drive. So as a preparation, backup any data of your c: drive before continuing. This includes data on your desktop, my documents folder. Keep all data either on the other drives of your PC or on any external drives. Just keep in mind that you are going to lose any installed software and you'll have to re-install it, for that you must have it's setup. So after making backup of everything and saying a good bye to your old slow computer, move to the next step. But before that do one thing that is check the size of your c: drive and the space already used up. This will provide extra help in the 'formatting' step. See screenshot below:

windows xp screenshot

As you can see here the size of my c: drive is 4.87 GB, ie about 4997 MB and 2.92 GB is the free space. Note down these details and then proceed to the next step.

  • Re-installing Windows XP:

Now all you need is to follow these simple instructions and you'll end up with a newly installed XP on your computer. See the screenshots for reference.

Restart your computer, boot from the Windows XP installation CD and wait for a few minutes for the setup to be ready.
After a few minutes of waiting, this will be the first screen you encounter.
windows XP installation

Press 'Enter'

windows XP installation

Then press F8
windows XP installation
At this screen press 'Esc'.
Yes, you are not going to repair your existing installation, but instead going to install a fresh copy.
windows XP installation

Here comes one of the most important step. Wisely choose your c: drive partition, this partition is going to be formatted. Next to the name of partition, you can see its size. Just for being sure, check the size of the c: drive partition with reference to what you noted down. My c: drive was about 4997 MB, which shows here. So now after being sure that you have selected c: drive partion, press 'Enter'
windows XP installation
This screen must come if you have properly selected c: drive partition on an already XP installed PC. If not, then go back and select the proper partition. This screen shows that the partition selected already contains an OS. And this is what we want, to remove that OS and install Windows XP again on the new formatted partition. So now at this screen, press 'C'
windows XP installation
At this screen select your formatting option. I prefer to choose NTFS non-quick option. You can choose any from NTFS or FAT,quick or normal, but the last option, ie to 'leave the current file system intact' should not be used. In my example I choose third option. Once again make sure that the partition you are formatting is your c: drive partition, the name of your selected partition is shown on the second line on this screen. Once you are ready and have moved your cursor to the proper formatting option, press 'Enter'.
windows XP installation
One more screen will proceed asking you for the final permission. Press 'F'.
windows XP installation
The formatting process will continue similar to the above screenshot.
windows XP installation
After successfully completing the formatting, the setup will proceed to install Windows XP, with it's first step being copying setup files. No user input is needed, the setup continues on it's own, similar to the above screenshot.
windows XP installation
After completion of the above step, the computer will reboot on its own and will lead to the above screen, for about next 10 minutes, the setup will continue on its own.
windows XP installation
Just select 'Next'
windows XP installation
Type a name for your company or organization,it can be anything. I choose 'Home' and 'Home' for both these details. Then select 'Next'.
windows XP installation
Enter your product key and select 'Next'.
windows XP installation
Enter a computer name, you can leave it as it is also, an admin password and remember the password. Then select 'Next'.
windows XP installation
Automatically the date and time would be set by the setup, if you want to change it, then change or just select 'Next'.
windows XP installation

At this screen choose Typical settings or if you want to manually configure network components select custom, but I suggest to use typical settings. Then select 'Next'.

windows XP installation

Just select 'Next' and sit back for some minutes. You are on the way of just completing your re-installation.

windows XP installation

When you see this screen. you have almost completed your task. Press OK and when the next dialog box occurs, press OK again.

windows XP installation

After coming to this screen just follow the simple instructions.1. Press Next 2. Help protect...(1st option) Press Next 3. Press skip to skip this step or if you are connected to internet you can let the setup find it. 4. Registration if optional,so perform if you want, or select 'No,not this time'. Press Next.

windows XP installation

Then choose names for your users. Enter at least one. Press 'Next' and at the next step press 'Next' once again.

Congrats! You're done. Now just watch your freshly installed windows XP boot for the first time. Then install the required drivers from the driver CD and a good antivirus and MS Office or anything else you want. You'll be happy by the performance of this re-installed windows for the next many years to come.

So what have you done in this tutorial?
  • Formatted your existing c: drive.
  • Re-installed Windows XP
Enjoyed this tutorial? Please take some time and share it!

Salman and Katrina in an Item Number Aaya Re Aaya Bodyguard

Salman and Katrina in an Item Number
Aaya Re Aaya Bodyguard

Here’s a sneak peek into the most talked about item song Aaya re aaya bodyguard starring the ex-lovers Recently Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan shot for the most talked about item song, Aaya re aaya bodyguard for the Salman’s next film Bodyguard with Kareena Kapoor. It is believed that Salman’s sister Alvira, who is also co-producer Atul Agnihotri’s wife, came up with the idea of inserting an item number with the two ex-lovers. Katrina is very close to Alvira and could not turn down her request. People present at the shoot said that the two were extremely comfortable around each other. Atul says, “The shoot of the song was sensational and very high on energy.” Salman’s bodyguard Shera will also be seen shaking a leg with the two in this song. About that, the film’s co-producer says, “Shera was a little apprehensive about his act and dance steps, but Salman and Katrina urged him on. Salman even helped him with his dance steps to ease the tension. Katrina also encouraged him to perform well. It will be refreshing to see them together on the big screen.” Let’s wait to watch if the ex-lovers’ item song sizzles as much as their love story did when they were together.

Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra has won the 'Worlds Sexiest Asian Woman

Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra has won the 'Worlds Sexiest Asian Woman' crown, according to an on-line survey conducted by a weekly magazine. Priyanka, 30, defeated reigning champion Kareena Kapoor and three-times winner Katrina Kaif to claim the crown of sexiest Asian woman on the planet this year.
"Priyanka Chopra secured top spot with Kareena Kapoor coming second and Katrina Kaif third," Asian weekly Eastern Eye said. A permanent fixture in the top three in recent years, the beauty queen turned A-list Bollywood star beat off very tough competition from some of the most stunning women from around the world.
"It has rounded off a dream year for Priyanka, which included a starring role in super-hit film Agneepath, delivering a superb performance in India's official entry to the Oscars, Barfi and launching an international pop career
Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra has won the 'Worlds Sexiest Asian Woman' crown, according to an on-line survey.
Priyanka Chopra beats Kareena Kapoor to be named 'World's Sexiest Asian Woman'
alongside chart-topping singer Will.i.am," the release added.
Clearly delighted with the win, Priyanka said: "I'm hugely flattered. Who wouldn't want to have a title like this bestowed on them! A big shout out to everyone who voted for me."
Eastern Eye showbiz editor Asjad Nazir, who annually puts together the popular list and is chairman of the judging panel believes a dream year will give Priyanka the perfect platform to possibly becoming a Hollywood star in 2013.
"The sheer diversity of the projects that Priyanka did in 2012 combined with her close connection to fans online worked in her favour and added to her already impressive fan base. That is why she was able to beat off pop stars, TV
personalities, models and fellow film stars," said Asjad.
The biggest surprise of 2012 was the number of television actresses from India who entered the list for the first time. 'Ek Hazaaron Kein Meri Behna Hai' stars Nia Sharma, who came fifth and Krystle D'Souza on 9th became the first ever TV actresses from India to crack the top 10.
Other Indian television actresses who made the list included Drashti Dhami (12), Sanaya Irani (13), Kritika Kamra (19), Jennifer Winger (21), Yashashtri Masurkar (24) and Asha Negi (32).
"The fact that so many television actresses made the top 50 showed that Bollywood is no longer the only dominant force in India and that television is playing a much bigger part in the lives of people around the world," added Asjad.
Other notable stars in this year's list include Deepika Padukone landed on the fourth spot, Bipasha Basu on the sixth, Sonam Kapoor on the seventh, Diana Penty (15), and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (16).
The highest placed Pakistani was supermodel turned television personality Mehreen Syed (10) and the highest placed star from the west was once again Hollywood actress Noureen Dewulf (11), who is currently starring alongside
Charlie Sheen in hit US sitcom 'Anger Management'.
Priyanka's cousin Parineeti Chopra (18), Rani Mukerji (22), Esha Gupta (23), Sussanne Roshan (25), Alia Bhatt (29), Giaa Manek (41) and singer Tasha Tah (47) were also included in the list.

Smartphone 2013

A smartphone is a mobile phone built on a mobile operating system, with more advanced computing capability and connectivity than afeature phone.[1][2][3] The first smartphones combined the functions of a personal digital assistant (PDA) with a mobile phone. Later models added the functionality of portable media players, low-end compact digital cameras, pocket video cameras, and GPS navigation units to form one multi-use device. Many modern smartphones also include high-resolution touchscreens and web browsers that display standard web pages as well as mobile-optimized sites. High-speed data access is provided by Wi-Fi and Mobile Broadband.
The mobile operating systems (OS) used by modern smartphones include Google's Android, Apple's iOS, Nokia's Symbian, RIM'sBlackBerry OS, Samsung's Bada, Microsoft's Windows Phone, Hewlett-Packard's webOS, and embedded Linux distributions such asMaemo and MeeGo. Such operating systems can be installed on many different phone models, and typically each device can receive multiple OS software updates over its lifetime.

Origin of the term

Although devices combining telephony and computing were conceptualized as early as 1973 and were offered for sale beginning in 1994, the term "smartphone" did not appear until 1997, when Ericssondescribed its GS 88 "Penelope" concept as a "Smart Phone".[4][5][6][7][8]
The distinction between smartphones and feature phones can be vague, and there is no official definition for what constitutes the difference between them. One of the most significant differences is that the advanced application programming interfaces (APIs) on smartphones for running third-party applications[9] can allow those applications to have better integration with the phone's OS and hardware than is typical with feature phones. In comparison, feature phones more commonly run on proprietaryfirmware, with third-party software support through platforms such as Java ME or BREW.[1] An additional complication in distinguishing between smartphones and feature phones is that over time the capabilities of new models of feature phones can increase to exceed those of phones that had been promoted as smartphones in the past.
Some manufacturers use the term "superphone" for their high end phones with unusually large screens and other expensive features.[10][11] Other commentators prefer "phablet" in recognition of their convergence with low-end tablet computers.[12][13]

[edit]Early years

In 1973, Theodore George “Ted” Paraskevakos patented the concepts of combining intelligence, data processing and visual display screens with telephones, outlining the now commonplace activities ofbanking and paying utility bills via telephone.[4]
The first cellular phone to incorporate PDA features was an IBM prototype developed in 1992 and demonstrated that year at the COMDEX computer industry trade show. A refined version of the product was marketed to consumers on 16 August 1994 by BellSouth under the name Simon Personal Communicator. The Simon was the first device that can be properly referred to as a "smartphone", even though that term was not yet coined.[5][14] In addition to its ability to make and receive cellular phone calls, Simon was also able to send and receive facsimiles, e-mails and pages through its touch screen display. Simon included many applications including an address book, calendar, appointment scheduler, calculator, world time clock, games, electronic note pad, handwritten annotations and standard and predictive touchscreen keyboards.
In 1996, Nokia released the Nokia 9000, part of the Nokia Communicator line which became their best-selling phone of that time. It was a palmtop computer-style phone combined with a PDA from HP. In early prototypes, the two devices were fixed together via a hinge in what came to be described as a clamshell design. When opened, the display of 640×200 pixels was on the inside top surface and with a physical QWERTY keyboard on the bottom. Email and text-based web browsing was provided via their GEOS V3.0 operating system.
In the late 1990s though, the vast majority of mobile phones had only basic phone features so many people also carried a separate dedicated PDA device, running early versions of operating systems such as Palm OS, BlackBerry OS or Windows CE/Pocket PC.[1]These operating systems would later evolve into mobile operating systems and power some of the high-end smartphones.
In early 2001, Palm, Inc. introduced the Kyocera 6035, the first smartphone in the United States. This device combined the a PDA with a mobile phone and operated on the Verizon Wireless network. It also supported limited web browsing.[15] The device was not adopted widely outside North America.[16]
In 2004, HP released the iPaq h6315, a device that combined their previous PDA, the HP 2215 with cellular capability.[17]

The Nokia N8 smartphone is the first device to run on the Symbian^3 mobile operating system and the first smartphone to feature a 12megapixel autofocus lens
Main article: Symbian
Symbian is a mobile operating system designed for smartphones originally developed by Symbian Ltd.but currently maintained by Accenture.[18] The Symbian platform is the successor to Symbian OS and Nokia Series 60. The latest version, Symbian^3, was officially released in Q4 2010 and first used in theNokia N8.[19]
The first Symbian phone the touchscreen Ericsson R380 Smartphone was released in 2000[20][21] and was the first device to be marketed as a 'smartphone'.[22] It combined a PDA with a mobile phone.[23]
Later in 2000, the Nokia 9210 communicator was released, also with Symbian. The later 9500 was Nokia's first camera phone and first Wi-Fi phone. The 9300 was smaller, and the E90 Communicator included GPS. In 2007, Nokia launched the Nokia N95 which integrated various multimedia features: GPS, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity and TV-out. In the next few years these features would become standard on high-end smartphones. The Nokia 6110 Navigator was a Symbian based dedicated GPS phone introduced in June 2007.
In 2010, Nokia released the Nokia N8 smartphone with a stylus-free capacitive touchscreen, the first device to use the new Symbian^3 OS.[24] Its megapixel camera able to record HD video in 720p.[25] It also featured a front-facing VGA camera for videoconferencing.
Some estimates indicate that the number of mobile devices shipped with the Symbian OS up to the end of Q2 2010 is 385 million.[26] Symbian was the number one smartphone platform by market share from 1996 until 2011 when it dropped to second place behind Google's Android OS.
In February 2011, Nokia announced that it would replace Symbian with Windows Phone as the operating system on all of its future smartphones.[27] This transition was completed in October 2011, when Nokia announced its first line of Windows Phone 7.5 smartphones, Nokia Lumia 710 and Nokia Lumia 800.[28] Nokia committed to support its Symbian based smartphones until 2016, by releasing further OS improvements, like Nokia Belle and Nokia Belle FP1, and new devices, like the Nokia 808 PureView.

In 1999, RIM released its first BlackBerry devices, making secure real-time push-email communications possible on wireless devices. The introduction of Blackberry devices with voice, data, browser, messaging and organizer applications in 2002 marked the first true smartphone. Services such as BlackBerry Messenger and the integration of all communications into a single inbox allowed users to access, create, share and act upon information instantly. There are 80 million active BlackBerry service subscribers (BIS/BES) and the 200 millionth BlackBerry smartphone was shipped in September 2012 (twice the number since June 2010[29]). Popular models include the BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Torch (slider and all-touch) and BlackBerry Curve.[30]

Android is an open-source platform founded in October 2003 by Andy Rubin and backed by Google, along with major hardware and software developers (such as Intel, HTC, ARM, Motorola and Samsung, to name a few), that form the Open Handset Alliance.[31] The first phone to use Android was the HTC Dream, branded for distribution by T-Mobile as the G1. The software suite included on the phone consists of integration with Google's proprietary applications, such as Maps, Calendar, and Gmail, and a full HTML web browser. Android supports the execution of native applications and a preemptive multitasking capability (in the form of services). Third-party free and paid apps are available via Google Play, which launched in October 2008 as Android Market.
In January 2010, Google launched the Nexus One smartphone using its Android OS. Although Android has multi-touch abilities, Google initially removed that feature from the Nexus One,[32] but it was added through a firmware update on February 2, 2010.[33]
On June 24, 2011, the HTC EVO 3D was released by HTC Corporation, which can produce 3D effects. Samsung Galaxy S III sales hit 8 million with in first weekend in 2012.[citation needed]

First generation AppleiPhone (int. June, 2007)
In 2007, Apple Inc. introduced the original iPhone, one of the first mobile phones to use a multi-touchinterface. The iPhone was notable for its use of a large touchscreen for direct finger input as its main means of interaction, instead of a stylus, keyboard, and/or keypad as typical for smartphones at the time. It initially lacked the capability to install native applications, meaning some did not regard it as a smartphone.[34] However in June 2007 Apple announced that the iPhone would support third-party "web 2.0 applications" running in its web browser that share the look and feel of the iPhone interface.[35] A process called jailbreaking emerged quickly to provide unofficial third-party native applications to replace the built-in functions (such as a GPS unit, kitchen timer, radio, map book, calendar, notepad, and many others).[36]
In July 2008, Apple introduced its second generation iPhone with a much lower list price and 3G support. Simultaneously, the App Store was introduced which allowed any iPhone to install third party native applications (both free and paid) over a Wi-Fi or cellular network, without requiring a PC for installation. Applications could additionally be browsed through and downloaded directly via the iTunes software client. Featuring over 500 applications at launch,[37] the App Store was very popular,[38] and achieved over one billion downloads in the first year, and 15 billion by 2011.[39][40]
In June 2010, Apple introduced iOS 4, which included APIs to allow third-party applications to multitask,[41] and the iPhone 4, with an improved display and back-facing camera, a front-facing camera for videoconferencing, and other improvements.[42] In early 2011 the iPhone 4 allowed the handset's 3G connection to be used as a wireless Wi-Fi hotspot.[43]
The iPhone 4S was announced on October 4, 2011, improving upon the iPhone 4 with a dual core A5 processor, an 8 megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p video at 30 frames per second, World phone capability allowing it to work on both GSM & CDMA networks, and the Siri automated voice assistant.[44] On October 10, Apple announced that over one million iPhone 4Ss had been pre-ordered within the first 24 hours of it being on sale, beating the 600,000 device record set by the iPhone 4.[45][46] Along with the iPhone 4S Apple also released iOS 5 and iCloud, untethered device activation, backup, and synchronization,[47] along with additional features.[48]
